Give It To Him

The next important part of the blessing is that God now looks at everything, and makes sure that the husband and wife understand where the power to be and do has come from. He says, it is I who give you every tree upon all the face of the earth. It is I who am giving you the herb yielding seed, I who am giving you every green herb for meat, and it was so. Isn’t it something, after He says it, it says, it was so. That is further assurance for us to know that we don’t have to try and figure it out, we can just trust and leave it in the Lord’s hands and know that all will be well. If we give our marriages over to him, give our children, our spouses, our lands and place it all in his hands, the Power of our One will speak and propel us into our destiny.
One of the main reasons America is in such trouble now, is because the foundation of family is being trampled upon, and rogue, selfish, ambitious spirits have been allowed to rule and take dominion over an area that was designed for the godly family to maintain. Sadly, after those spirits are allowed to rule, the nation will have no choice but to die, because there may be production, but there can never be reproduction.
When marriage is done God’s way, He will speak his purpose fulfilled blessing over it, look at it, and call it good.
Your Time to Rule

Next we see God tells them to subdue, which means to conquer and rule over, to put under. Not only, that but He tells them to take dominion over everything else. Make everything else respond to the word and vision you carry. That is also why a family must have a vision of where they are going. What has the Lord said for you and your spouse? What is the plan of God for you and your family? When you just go day by day with no end in mind, you’re building on a shaky foundation because you’re just adding pieces and God wants you to add substance.
God goes on to say, “See and behold I have given you every tree, every herb yielding seed and fruit bearing tree that is upon all the face of the earth.” He says that not only do you have the power of reproduction in the fact that He is giving you the trees, but He is also giving you the source of reproduction, the seed. As we by faith, apply the seed of God’s way into our marriages, we then are able to reap the benefits and see the magnitude of the way that He has planned for us.
True Dominion

Right after we see His intention and desire to make man and woman, we next see Him doing just as he purposes. You finding your spouse is not just a nice thing; it is you finding God’s intention and your place of dominion in the earth. God didn’t just turn over the earth to a person, but he turned it over to a man and his wife.
When you find God’s intention, you then have the tools to succeed. Because you know from the previous verse that right after we find His intention, we see Him create them and after that He blesses them or ordains them in a sense to go, be, and walk in their rulership. When you and your spouse come together, you have the power to cause the blessing of God to be upon everything around you.
Power to Rule

In Genesis 1, verse 26, God is considering making man and He says, “Let us make man in our image and after our likeness.” So from this verse, we see His desire from the start is for man to act, look, and respond just like Him. Then He goes further to explain what being like Him means and says, “let him have dominion over the fish of the sea, the fouls of the air, over cattle, and over all the earth, and every creeping thing that creepeth on the earth.” This is a great thing, because we get to see His intention for us, which is for everything in, above, under, and on the earth, to be in submission to the rule of man. The even greater part of that is who this intention was made toward. It was not made to Adam, it was made to Adam and Eve. This blessing of the Lord came to the man and his wife, and that is why the establishment of family is so important, because His intention was for the earth to respond to the power of this One union.
The Power to Go

The blessing of God is truly an awesome thing, because a man can bless you and congratulate you, but when God blesses you it is something altogether different. God’s blessing is an enablement or an empowerment to accomplish that which He has planned for you. Since God is not a man that He should lie, nor the son of man that He should repent, we can be assured that even His very intentions of a matter shall come to pass.
When God speaks blessings into the lives of men and women, He is giving them the insight into how He sees their lives to be fashioned. He is showing them what the end result should look like, for they now have His intention before them. This is the place they can strive to become, because this is the Father’s heart for them. So after He tells them to be fruitful and multiply, literally saying, reproduce after your kind, as I have shown you that I have done. Now you have the ability to walk in that same level of grace and power.
Let Us Multiply

In Gen 2:27-31, God makes man and woman, and right after that God speaks an open declaration and charge over this man and woman, and speaks a very powerful blessing over them. He starts off His blessing by saying, “Be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth”. In the very beginning he is telling them that it is their responsibility as man and wife to multiply and bring forth a godly seed into the earth. Replenish it, and to produce after their own kind. Your marriage should be the standard for your children to follow.
Since your marriage should be the example of what God would put together, it should be complete in every way. The first way to show your completion is you should be able to multiply. Why is that important, because you are ensuring that after you go, there is yet a godly seed of righteousness to follow you. Most make the mistake of thinking about themselves and for themselves, somehow thinking they will live forever. Not realizing that without the way of impartation into the next generation, what God has done in you is not lasting but temporary, because when you die, all you have built dies with you. You had no seed to carry out the vision of God for your life. Through agreement and coming together with your spouse you are able to produce and reproduce after the God kind.
God was so serious about this carrying on of the godly line and name that he speaks of it in Deut chap 25. It states that if that man dies without a child, then his brother should marry his wife and the firstborn should carry on the name and line in the earth. If the brother refuses, then the wife has cause to curse him and spit on him, and change the name of the family that all know this family is open and broken.
You Complete Me

Our society has tried to change the rules and now women walk in many areas of authority in society, and many do rule well in their places. Whatever they are now, is only a glimpse of what they can become if they attach themselves to a man of God who can tell them their name. You may think you are successful, and by many degrees you may be, but it won’t be able to touch who you become when you have the support and caring of the One (your husband) standing beside you. There is something about the power of the marriage union that is supernatural. That’s why the Bible says that one can chase a thousand but two are chasing ten thousand. The power of your agreement will make you bigger, stronger, and better than you could ever imagine.
God next says that the two of you are no longer separate but joined. You are now one, because this woman was only completed when she came out of the man, and for the man to be complete, he must rejoin himself to the part of him that is missing. Man defines the woman, and woman completes the man. We are now one, and can go on in life whole and without a limp. Could I, as a man, live without a wife? Sure, but not completely. Without a woman I could never complete the full measure of the call. Could a woman live successfully without a husband? Sure. But not completely. Without a man she could never complete the full measure of the call on her life either. If there were no benefit or power in the joining of the man and woman, then the Lord would not have ordained it. God was so serious about this relationship that he says, “what the Lord has joined together, let no man put asunder.” God has never made a mistake. He knew the coming together of this man and woman would change entire societies and help govern their moral compass.
See Bigger, Greater…

God knew that the task He placed in Adams hands was great. Governing the earth would be no easy task, therefore God looked at man and said, “It is not good that man should be alone”. God in His infinite wisdom saw the power of the good thing in man having companionship.
Adam had named all the animals of the earth, yet he was still lacking. He still was without his helpmeet. God gave Adam an helpmeet, not so she could be subservient to him, but that she could walk with him in God’s divine design. Marriages must have a view of what God’s design is for it. We must know what the building we are building is to look like, or else how does it become complete? One of the greatest benefits to serving an omnipotent God is that He knows the end and the beginning. When we read throughout the Bible, we always see God giving us a view of the end of the matter. Why would God do that? I believe He does it because He knows if you see the end, you can trace your steps backwards and find out if you are in the right place today.
My Brother’s Keeper

The rulership of the earth was and still is a great task, and it will be the marriage and union that has the mind to rule that will take cities and bring this great nation of ours back to its foundation. Just as you call and name your family. It will be with that same level of authority that you will call all families in this nation and show how the power of a union can bring lasting healing to the land.
America is now in a hard place. It is as the Bible describes: children being disobedient to parents, men are lovers of themselves, families are broken. It is almost as if the nation is searching for its identity. An identity that was once defined and known throughout the earth is now ambiguous. Whether we realize it or not, the biggest issue in our nation is not homosexuality, abortion, same sex marriage, or crime in the streets. All of these are just symptoms; symptoms of a greater problem, which is lack of family. When we begin to think like God as it pertains to our marriages, then we will see that our lack of concern for commitment and covenant causes not only a break down in our homes but society as well. We have to once again see the affects that our lives have on everyone. Whether we have realized it or not, our entire nation has been affected by the mindset of “everyman for himself”. Whatever and whoever makes me happy is the rule of the day. You are not married just to find a mate and be happy. It is much more than that. Your marriage shows your children and your neighbor that family and commitment is important. It shows the world that what God has ordained is not just something meaningless, but it has greater consequence to society as a whole, and that we truly are our brother’s keeper.
What Do You Call It?

One of the most life changing truths that couples need to learn and apply in their marriage, is that God has not just allowed you to become joined so you can have a family. Through your union, you are to be learning the power of your authority in the earth. God sees you and says He will allow you the opportunity to join Him and walk out His authority in the earth. Your boot camp process will begin just as Adam’s did, with your surroundings and your spouse. What you call it is what it will be. The question is, what have you declared and said of your union?
When God wanted to show man what authority looked like He started off by giving Adam rulership and declaration authority over the animals, but that was not Adam’s end, it was only the beginning. In your relationships, you must see that what God had begun in you before the union was just that… what was done before. What He will do after will be, and is now, greater because you are joined. The power of your union will cause and propel your land, your territory, and your purpose, to be expanded and enlarged. It was a good thing for Adam to name the animals, but that was only his beginning. In God giving him that task, He was actually preparing him to be the head of his home. God was teaching him to care for and protect his wife. He was learning how to look at her and call her what would now define her tomorrow. God was preparing him to rule over his garden well, and showing him how he must eventually govern the earth.
