Broadcast With Us

As Christians we should not just live and pass the time until we die. Ours is the mandate to be salt and light; Each of us having the responsibility to produce a genuine move of God in the earth during the time of our existence. As salt or preservers we also ensure that the gospel continues to go forth long after we pass from this life into the next. At GODNET.tv we have the sincere desire to see a move of God in our culture, and invite you to join us as we endeavor to show forth God’s very best in the earth and to shine as stewards of His glory and presence.

Between The Porch and the Altar

Seek Him

I'm not really going to preach a sermon this morning, but I want to have a launching pad... Joel 1:13 "Gird yourselves, and lament ye priests, howl ye ministers of the altar. Come, lay all night in sackcloth, ye ministers of my God. For the meat offering and the drink offering is witholden from the house of your God. Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly." And then to verse 17 of the next chapter, "Let the priests, the ministers of the Lord, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare Thy people O Lord, and give not Thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them. Wherefore should they say among the people, Where is your God?" A few years ago, Dr. Carl F. Henry, founder and editor of Christianity Today, sent out a questionnaire to what he called, "Twenty of the leading intellectual preachers int he country." Those men who turned the world upside down had
No colossal intellectual capacity.
No great financial backing.
No social standing.
They were about the most despised men in and around Jerusalem. And yet they broke out somehow - and later it was said that they turned the world upside-down.

The Kingdom of God Upon Earth

Thy Kingdom Come

I. What is meant by the Kingdom of God.
In some respects there are two ideas concerning the kingdom of God. One class of divines suppose that the kingdom of God is purely spiritual; others suppose that the Lord Jesus Christ will reign personally upon the earth, that when he comes a second time, it will be to set up his kingdom in this world, and reign here in his visible presence. These two classes, however, agree in this--that his kingdom must be spiritual, whether outward and visible or not; in either case he can reign over man no further then he reigns in their hearts. It is a truth that some of the greatest things that will take place in your life will be those that were wrought through your willingness to submit to the Spirit of God in your life. No one can lay claim to true greatness without also yielding to the fact that it was first a divine move of heaven that stirred in their heart and caused their life to change.

We are here to show forth the glory of the Lord through Love unfeigned, and complete obedience to the ways of Christ. -William Henley

Sinners in The Hands of an Angry God

The use of this awful subject may be for awakening unconverted persons in this congregation. This that you have heard is the case of every one of you that are out of Christ.-That world of misery, that lake of burning brimstone, is extended abroad under you. There is the dreadful pit of the glowing flames of the wrath of God; there is hell's wide gaping mouth open; and you have nothing to stand upon, nor any thing to take hold of, there is nothing between you and hell but the air; it is only the power and mere pleasure of God that holds you up.

You probably are not sensible of this; you find you are kept out of hell, but do not see the hand of God in it; but look at other things, as the good state of your bodily constitution, your care of your own life, and the means you use for your own preservation. But indeed these things are nothing; if God should withdraw his band, they would avail no more to keep you from falling, than the thin air to hold up a person that is suspended in it.
